This Reference Collection was developed in 2008. The titles of the documents are still valid although not all the electronic links have been maintained.

This material was compiled, in cooperation with the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR), in the course of the City’s research on climate change adaptation.

The development of Toronto's climate change adaptation strategy is a key component of our Climate Change, Clean Air and Sustainable Energy Action Plan, which was unanimously passed by Council in July, 2007. Ahead of the Storm, Toronto's framework for the development of an adaptation strategy was completed in April 2008 and unanimously approved by City Council in July, 2008.
