Ward 38 Scarborough Centre

Former City Councillor Brad DuguidPrior to his first election to Scarborough Council in 1994, Brad Duguid gained experience at all three levels of government, as an Assistant to Members in Ottawa, Queen's Park and at Metropolitan Toronto. On Scarborough Council, he Chaired the Special Committee on Crime Prevention and co-authored Scarborough's Strategic Plan.

In November 1997, Brad was elected to the newly amalgamated City of Toronto Council for Scarborough City Centre, where he served as Chair of the Community Services Committee, responsible for, among other things, Shelters and Hostels, Homes for the Aged, Social Services, Toronto Housing, Fire and Ambulance Services.

Returned again in 2000, for Scarborough Centre, Ward 38, Brad was elected Works Committee Chair, leading Council's efforts in the areas of waste management, water, sewer and road & traffic operations.

Brad Duguid was elected to the Ontario Legislature on October 2, 2003.
