Remote Traffic Information System (RTIS)

The Remote Traffic Information System (RTIS) uses sensors buried in the road to measure the average speed of traffic traveling along Lake Shore Boulevard and the Gardiner Expressway. The information is displayed on the map below. In addition, RTIS also provides text messages which describe active traffic events in the corridor. These messages are updated regularly as traffic conditions change.
