Greg Smallenberg, founding partner of Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg, has directed a diverse range of widely acclaimed, award-winning projects, consistently focusing his efforts on design within a context of community and urban design. Ronji Borooah is the Town Architect and Head of Urban Design in the Town of Markham. Prior to the current position, Mr. Borooah was in private practice as a Director at Young + Wright Architects and, earlier, as a Principal of Markson Borooah Architects. Mr. Borooah has practiced planning, architecture and urban design in Canada, USA and Asia. His work in planning, urban design and architecture, either as project team leader or team member, has been awarded the Governor General’s Award |

for Architecture, several Ontario Association of Architects Awards and Honourable Mentions, City of Toronto Urban Design Award and Honourable Mention, Canadian Institute of Planners Award of Excellence, Ontario Professional Planners Institute Excellence Award, and Canadian Society of Landscape Architects National Honour Award. Mr. Borooah has been Adjunct Professor of Urban Design for the University of Toronto Graduate Program in Planning, external jury panel member for Master of Urban Design studios at the University of Toronto and Carlton University, and Jury Member for the City of Ottawa Urban Design Awards program. He has participated and chaired panel discussions at annual conferences of RAIC, APA, CIP, OPPI, OAA, and other associations.

John Lorinc is a Toronto journalist who specializes in writing about urban affairs, municipal politics, development and public space. He contributes regularly for The Globe and Mail, Spacing Magazine, Walrus Magazine and Zoomer. Lorinc has degrees in mathematics and journalism from the University of Toronto and Carleton University. He has won numerous National Magazine Awards and is the author of two books on cities: "The New City: How the Crisis in Canada's Urban Regions is Re-shaping the |
