Although divided on the execution of this project, the jury welcomed it as an effective signal that the waterfront is about to experience significant changes, which will include a fundamental re-ordering of transportation priorities. Both symbolic and practical, it shows how temporary interventions can transform our understanding of civic
design and transportation.
