Toronto is a globally recognized and respected address that is home to 2.7 million people and some of the world's best organizations, services and talent available.

On an international scale Toronto is still the wise choice - with a reputation as North America's leading economy * and overall business cost savings of 6.5% over large U.S. cities and up to 12.2% when compared to Asia and Europe.**

The strength and international reputation of Toronto businesses is reflected in annual exports of over $70 billion in goods and services to every corner of the globe; retail sales of $47 billion and a GDP which topped $127 billion in 2005 alone.

Operating a business in Toronto makes good business sense. Not only do companies have access to a work force of 1.4 million talented people; but they also don't pay municipal development charges on new industrial, commercial and institutional construction.

The City of Toronto has essentially held the line on commercial and industrial property taxes for the next 15 years by limiting municipal budgetary tax increases for businesses to a maximum of one third of any residential budgetary tax increase.

Toronto - the city of unlimited opportunities.
