Volunteering has long been a tradition in Toronto. Torontonians have found innovative and creative ways of volunteering their time to make a difference in their communities.
Through the Community Service Volunteer Awards, the City of Toronto celebrates people who invest in their communities and inspire others through their outstanding volunteer work. These awards are presented in the recognition that the volunteers are of immense value as a resource in their communities and are essential to a vibrant Toronto.
Nominations submitted in 2007 are still valid for consideration in the next set of volunteer awards. Details are not available at this time.
The mayor and members of Toronto City Council present the Community Service Volunteer Awards usually on an annual basis.
