The Community Service Volunteer Awards operated from 2000 through 2006, and recognized people who provided valuable volunteer contributions in local organizations. The awards focused on a wide range of categories such as Children, Youth, Newcomer, Seniors, Women. The awards were given to individuals or groups of people who had been nominated by people in the community.
The City of Toronto continues to recognize valuable volunteer contributions to the community through award programs in specific areas such as community safety, youth leadership and the environment.
