YWALK is the Global Youth Forum on Sustainable & Active Transportation that took place during the Walk21 Toronto 2007 conference. YWALK brought together Canadian and international youth delegates aged 13 to 19 to share strategies and generate a stronger youth network to advocate for increased sustainable and active transportation locally, nationally and internationally.

Most of the 120 Canadian youth delegates who attended were from Toronto. In July 2007, 12 Toronto youths had formed the "YW Crew" for the specific purpose of being trained and supported in planning the YWALK event. The YW Crew is now prepared for more civic strategy and action.

In the months leading up to the October forum, young people were invited to assess the walkability and accessibility of sustainable transportation in their communities. They connected with local organizations and engaged with sustainable transportation projects or evaluated pedestrian safety in their communities through photography, art or journalism. These resources and successes were to be showcased online and at YWALK in October 2007.
