Maintenance of watercourses or parts of watercourses
Watercourses include creeks, streams and rivers - natural and concrete channels or underground pipes - that carry water including stormwater and snowmelt from catchbasins (square grate at the edge of the road) into Lake Ontario. Most maintenance and watercourse protection operations are carried out locally.
