Find out more about the Transit and Rail Assessment Process (TRAP) for the Waterfront East LRT and provide comments on the draft Environmental Project Report.

Toronto’s waterfront is undergoing a significant transformation, with rapid growth in many precincts along the water’s edge, including Mimico, Humber Bay Shores, Liberty Village, Fort York, King/Spadina, City Place and South Core. Growth in several more areas along the eastern waterfront is either underway or planned, including at the Lower Yonge, East Bayfront, Quayside, Keating Channel, West Don Lands, Port Lands and South of Eastern neighbourhoods.

With this growth, the City of Toronto, in partnership with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and Waterfront Toronto, completed the Waterfront Transit “Reset” study, including a comprehensive assessment of needs and options for transit improvements for the waterfront area, from Long Branch in the west to the Leslie Barns Maintenance and Storage Facility in the east. Individual projects in the network are in various stages of planning, design and environmental approval processes.
