What's new
Schedule for Return of Streetcar Service
Regular fare streetcar service is scheduled to return on St. Clair Avenue West to the Lansdowne Avenue streetcar loop on Sunday, December 20th! Service to the Gunns Loop is scheduled to return in Spring 2010. The website will be updated as soon as a specific date is confirmed for the Gunns Loop connection.
Vaughan to Oakwood Update (Nov 2009)
A new upgraded pedestrian scale street lighting system is activated from Vaughan to Winona. Existing wooden poles are being removed (Vaughan to Winona) to improve the streetscape. Overall, to date more than 50 new trees have been planted, the entire section has brand new sidewalks and a reconstructed roadway as well as brand new upgraded watermains and services.
Interpretive Plaque Project
The new streetcar shelters along the St Clair Avenue West 512 route from Yonge Street to Gunns Road have been designed with space for an interpretive community plaque. The purpose of these plaques is to express community identity, local history and other unique qualities. Learn more about the project.
Parking on St. Clair Avenue West
Green P parking is available during construction! Green P parking near St. Clair Avenue and Dufferin Street is available at the following locations:
  • Norton Avenue West of Dufferin Street
  • Via Italia South of St. Clair West Avenue
  • Greenlaw Avenue south of St. Clair West Avenue

No on-street parking will be available in the work zones until track reconstruction is completed, however limited parking will be made available at certain locations provided it does not impede with construction.
