Animation of the exerciseOn Thursday, October 27, 2005 Toronto's Heavy Urban Search and Rescue (HUSAR) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) teams performed demonstrations for the Standing Senate Committee on National Security & Defense at Nathan Phillips Square, City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Animation of the exerciseBoth teams involve highly trained personnel from Toronto Fire, Police, and Emergency Medical Services who respond to significant emergencies that may involve structural collapse and very dangerous substances. These are exceedingly complicated and dangerous tasks.
