Yellow Bag Program - Eligibility criteria

To ensure you receive service, please fill out an application form. Completed forms must be signed, dated and returned to the City, together with a copy of your vendor permit or other proof of business identification.

All businesses that were receiving City-provided garbage collection as of March 7, 2002 were eligible for this service (with the exception of both large commercial businesses with ground floor area of more than 1,250 sq metres and industrial establishments). New customers can obtain and complete an application to determine if they are eligible to participate. When you apply, the City will notify you by phone if you are eligible to participate in the Yellow Bag Program.

You MUST apply to participate in the Yellow Bag Program if:

  • You currently do not have City collection but want to begin receiving it.
  • Information about your business, building and/or ownership has changed.
