News Release - September 4, 2020: Labour Day weekend update on City of Toronto programs and services

Due to COVID-19, City Hall, Metro Hall and all civic centres are currently closed to the public.

311 Toronto: phone lines operate 24/7.  Some online service requests are available at: https://www.toronto.ca/home/311-toronto-at-your-service/

City Clerk's: City of Toronto Archives: hours

Children's Services: Municipal child care phone lines will be closed.

City Planning: All City Planning phone lines will be closed.

Court Services: All offices and courts will be closed.

Economic Development & Culture:  

Employment & Social Services: All locations will be closed. City residents can apply for Ontario Works assistance online at the City of Toronto website.

Facilities Management: All Civic Centres are closed..

Film & Television Office: Closed

Long-Term Care Homes and Services: All Long-Term Care Homes & Services are operating as usual. There are no Adult Day Programs and Metro Hall's head office is closed.

Municipal Licensing & Standards: Toronto Animal Services shelters are closed on statutory holidays, Remembrance Day and Easter Monday.

Parks, Forestry & Recreation: Due to the holiday, not all Parks, Forestry and recreation programs and services will be offered. For program specific questions, contact your local community centre prior to the holiday.

Revenue Services: Telephone line  will be closed.

Tax and Utility: The T&U customer service line will be closed

Shelter, Support & Housing Administration: Emergency shelters and street outreach are available. For more information, visit the City of Toronto website. Additional information is also found at: Weekly meals - holiday meals and drop-ins

Solid Waste Management: Holiday schedule can be found on the City of Toronto website.

Toronto Building: All Toronto Building services will be closed except for Emergency-On-Call Inspection Services.

Toronto Public Library: For further information on Toronto Public Library locations, hours of operations and branch closures, visit the City of Toronto website.

Toronto Zoo: The Zoo is open 364 days a year. It is closed only on December 25th: http://www.torontozoo.com/
