Once you are registered on the Ariba Network as a City of Toronto supplier, you may also receive electronic notifications when public Solicitations (Request for Proposals, Request for Quotations, Request for Tenders, etc.) are issued for those commodities that are listed on your profile.

As a vendor/supplier for the City of Toronto, the first step you need to undertake to participate in new Solicitations posted on the Ariba Network is to register your company on the Ariba Network, identifying your interest in “City of Toronto Business.”

Registering on the Ariba Network is easy. Simply go to the City of Toronto Registration page and select “Login” if you are already an SAP Ariba User, or complete the information to register.

In order to bid on any City of Toronto Solicitations that are posted through SAP Ariba, you will need to register.

These will be accessible from the Ariba Network at SAP Ariba Sourcing. In addition, open bidding opportunities will be posted on Ariba Discovery. Key for all potential suppliers is to register.

You do not need to register on the Ariba Network to view the publically available Call Documents via Ariba Discovery. You will see a listing of current opportunities with a summary. You must be registered in order to view the entire Call document and submit a bid. The City recommends that you register as soon as possible.

No. Registration is a one-time event. Once you have registered on the Ariba Network as a City of Toronto vendor/supplier, you’ll be able to view and respond to active Call Documents for the City.

Once you are registered on the Ariba Network, you can print any Call Information/documentation that you see online; however, your Bid submission must be made electronically through the Ariba Network. The City will not sell a physical copy of the Solicitation if it is posted on the Ariba Network.

There will not be any Public Openings for Calls (Sourcing Events) in SAP Ariba. All bids will be submitted electronically.

The City of Toronto will begin posting a few Solicitations (Sourcing Events) on the Ariba Network in September 2018 and begin to conduct a further roll out by City division (Parks, Forestry and Recreation, Toronto Water, etc.) starting in October. The expected completion of the roll out is March 2019. A specific roll out of Solicitations will be announced soon.

Current bidding opportunities can be found at Search & Bid on City Contracts. Once the City of Toronto is live on the Ariba Network, the City will have a web page on Ariba Discovery that will list all opportunities that are public and open for bidding.

No.  For any Solicitation posted on the Ariba Network, you’ll need to submit your Bids to the City of Toronto electronically through the Ariba Network. For any Solicitations that are still posted on the City’s current Online Call Document System, your bid must still be submitted physically to the location noted in the Solicitation.

The closing deadline will be stated on each individual Solicitation Information page (Sourcing Event).

The layout of the Call Documents will be redesigned and all documents will now be electronic.
