The Facilities Management Division provides comprehensive maintenance, custodial and repair services to ensure City properties are maintained in a safe, clean and functional state to best serve the staff and residents of the City.

The Division’s facility portfolio is approximately 436 buildings. The Division ensures that all relevant compliance standards and bylaws are met.

The Project Management Office is responsible for the planning, delivery, and support of State Of Good Repair (SOGR) projects on all Facilities Management properties as well as providing project delivery services to other City Division funded projects. This process includes a Capital Plan based on:

  • building condition assessments
  • energy audits
  • accessibility audits and stakeholder input
  • contract management
  • environmental support
  • administration to ensure the division’s buildings are kept in good repair on an ongoing basis
