Change management focuses on the people side of change by applying a structured process and a set of tools to transition an organization and achieve the expected benefits. It is necessary whenever a project’s results and outcomes depend on individuals adopting new ways of working. Through tactical planning and management of activities, the Roadmap supports the transition from the current ways of operating to the full implementation of new ways of operating.

The Change Management Roadmap provides the structured process and tools needed to help projects achieve their benefit realization by focusing on the people side of change. It is also a guide to defining and understanding the right actions to take to ensure more rapid, successful and sustained adoption of key changes by those affected.

The Change Management Roadmap and supporting Change Management Toolkit provide a guide for each of the following phases:

Scoping Phase

Scoping ensures there is a clear vision and support at the highest levels of leadership.

Planning Phase

Planning involves activities that focus on engaging stakeholders and occurs continuously throughout the project.

Implementing Phase

Implementing is focused on targeting readiness and identifying and managing resistance, activities that are required for a successful Go-Live.

Sustaining Phase

Sustaining is focused on executing support and sustainability activities, assessing key metrics and creating recognition programs within the organization.

The Change Management Roadmap outlines the change management process and takes you through the change journey from scoping to sustainment. There are two views to the Roadmap:

Activity ViewDepicts all the activities necessary to navigate the people side of change for your project from beginning to sustainment.
