Retail establishments are required to ensure that they provide accessible washroom facilities for their customers, with proper signage.
- must provide separate male and female accessible washrooms for their customers
- signs with universal symbols for male and female must be provided at entrance to each washroom
- must provide at least one accessible washrooms to be used by either sex
- signs with universal symbols for male and female washrooms must be prominently displayed
If the retail establishment is staffed by only one person, then the bylaw does not apply.
