As a recipient of Ontario Works (OW) or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), if you pay an electricity bill directly, you can receive a monthly credit on your bill through the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP). The amount of the credit will depend on how many people live in your house and your combined household income.
Already receiving an OESP credit? As part of Ontario’s Fair Hydro Plan, the monthly bill credit has increased by 50 per cent. Your utility has automatically applied the new credit to your bill effective May 1, 2017.
