This project includes the construction of a watermain from Scarborough Pumping Station (the Lake) north to Midland and St Clair Avenue between 2018 and 2020.

Background

In 2008, the City of Toronto completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study to determine a preferred route for the construction of a NEW 1050 mm diameter watermain to support the existing watermain, reinforce and increase the security of water supply to the community and improve the hydraulic performance.  The existing 900 mm diameter watermain runs from Scarborough Pumping Station, along Kennedy Road area, Aylesworth & Midland Avenue to St Clair Avenue East on the route shown in the map below.
