Following the Nutrition Guidelines for Student Nutrition Programs Training

Following the Nutrition Guidelines for Student Nutrition Programs training is a free two-hour session for volunteer coordinators and other volunteers and staff at Student Nutrition Programs in Toronto. The training is led by a Toronto Public Health Dietitian and highlights the provincial Student Nutrition Program Nutrition Guidelines. It offers guidance on selecting healthy foods to be served in student nutrition programs.

Learn about:
  • Nutrition Guidelines for Student Nutrition Programs 
  • Food Categories: Vegetables and Fruit, Protein Foods, Whole Grain Foods 
  • Assessing Student Nutrition Program Menus

Attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the training.

Registration: 

  • Registration is required and is on a first come basis 
  • Maximum two representatives per Student Nutrition Program per training session, as space is limited. 
  • To register you must have an e-mail address. 

Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to your training start time to allow for parking and check-in. Participants arriving 10 minutes late or more to a training will not receive a Certificate of Attendance.
