The Project

Past, present and future are a continuum where culture is preserved and art is created with contemporary resonance and impact. This much will be suggested by the exhibitions on view. A solo exhibition by Nicholas Galanin will look at how he deftly navigates the politics of cultural representation. Having trained extensively in “traditional” as well as “contemporary” approaches to art, Galanin pursues them both in parallel paths. And an installation by Artist-In-Residence Emma Piirtoniemi will spark reflective engagement illuminating the validity of feeling and the importance of taking time.
