The Project

“space time” will be a projection that follows a 12-hour internet search and viewing of space-related images and videos. The artist feels that space exploration and advancements in science don’t captivate and sustain general interest as much as they used to. Yet at the same time, new technologies now offer much easier access to fascinating pictures or real-time discoveries from the beyond. The OSIRIS-REx mission to gather asteroid samples, the Rosetta space probe that helped study a comet, and the Mars Exploration Rovers walking the surface of the red planet are a few examples. The artist will present a projection of space-related media as she encounters it on her computer screen. Stop for a while to gaze at these compelling images and videos, and to share a visual interest in the interstellar.
