High Park is closed to vehicle traffic on weekends. The vehicle closure begins Friday night at approximately 11 p.m. and ends Monday morning at approximately 7 a.m. Limited street parking is available on Bloor Street. Stay up-to-date on all changes to City services by visiting COVID-19: Changes to City Services.

In the spring of 2020, the City launched ActiveTO in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to provide pedestrians with space to physically distance on major roads throughout the city, including High Park.

The park has also been temporarily closed to vehicles leading up to the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, a popular tradition that attracts thousands of visitors every spring. In order to keep people safe and improve pedestrian access, the park was closed to vehicles all seven days of the week leading up to and during the event.

High Park has four vehicle entrances and four main roads within the park.

  1. Colborne Lodge Drive which runs through the park between Bloor Street and the Queensway
  2. West Road which branches off Colborne Lodge Drive along the west side of the park
  3. High Park Boulevard, the main entry point from Parkside Drive
  4. Centre Road which connects Colborne Lodge Drive to High Park Boulevard
