While all donations are greatly appreciated, during this difficult time, the most important thing is to follow public health advice, including practising physical distancing and staying home except for essential tasks.
All donations made directly to the City are accepted in accordance with the Donations to the City of Toronto For Community Benefits Policy.

The Province of Ontario, through Ontario Together, is inviting businesses, researchers and organizations who can supply emergency products and innovative solutions to support the province-wide COVID-19 response to reach out.
The City of Toronto greatly appreciates all offers of goods and services. To get donations to where they are most needed as quickly as possible, we will only be accepting goods and services that can be used immediately. We will document all offers and match them as new needs emerge, at which time you will be contacted by City staff.

You may wish to research and donate directly to any one of the many local organizations working hard and raising funds to support the community.
The City of Toronto is working closely with a number of community partners to meet the needs of all Torontonians, including the United Way Greater Toronto which has launched the Local Love Fund to support the most vulnerable members of the community during this difficult time. The Toronto Foundation has launched the Better Toronto Coalition Hub to provide information to people looking to donate to non-profits as well as a fund to support community organizations serving the most vulnerable people in our city.
Funds donated to the City of Toronto’s COVID-19 response will directly contribute to the delivery of vital, community-focused services, both now and during recovery. From food support for the most vulnerable and personal protective equipment for frontline staff to much needed supplies and services for shelters during rapid rehousing, designating your gift allows the City to direct your donation to the highest priority need during this evolving situation.
Funds will be managed by the City’s donation coordination task force in accordance with the Donations to the City of Toronto For Community Benefits Policy.
A tax receipt will be issued for all donations of $20 or more.

Many of our community and neighbourhood agencies rely on volunteers to help deliver their services.
Many Torontonians have expressed an interest in helping vulnerable, isolated residents and families during this emergency period.
Residents interested in volunteering should register with Spark Ontario and/or with Volunteer Toronto to get alerts for volunteer opportunities (some of which may be remote).
