Throughout the pandemic, Toronto Public Health and Team Toronto partners have been bringing vaccines directly to workplaces, faith groups, organizations and communities that experience barriers to vaccination and low vaccine uptake. Mobile teams organized by Ontario Health Teams and Toronto Public Health have been offering vaccines for people experiencing homelessness, staying in shelters or visiting a drop-in program location.
Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies will provide vaccination opportunities for people age 50 and older on Seniors’ Days across 13 of their locations. Read the news release.

A mobile school clinic model has been developed in partnership between Team Toronto partners, Toronto Public Health (TPH) and the city’s four public school boards. TPH is working to bring COVID-19 vaccinations or access to nearby vaccinations to all public schools in the city.
Parents/guardians and children will receive notice from their school when a clinic is hosted. Specific school vaccine clinic details will be sent in a letter from principals, for their school only.
Children aged 5 to 11 must be with a parent, guardian or caregiver who is 18 years of age or older at most clinics. Parents, guardians and caregivers must bring an ID or document with their own name and date of birth. Some school clinics allow a parent to sign a consent and have the child vaccinated at school without the parent present. Check with your school clinic for further information. If a youth aged 12 to 17 is able to provide informed consent on their own, they do not need parental consent. They can give informed consent, as long as they have the capability to make this decision. This means understanding the treatment, why it is being recommended and the risks and benefits if they accept or refuse to be vaccinated. If the individual is incapable of consenting to receiving the vaccine, they would need consent from their substitute decision maker, such as their parent, guardian or caregiver. Students under 14 years old receiving the vaccine at a school clinic require parental consent to be vaccinated during school hours.
Toronto Public Heath (TPH) is taking requests for pop-up vaccination clinics to come to your neighbourhood, workplace or other location to provide COVID-19 vaccinations.
