The Toronto Raptors will play Game 6 of the NBA Finals on the road tomorrow night and City of Toronto staff continue to work with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), Toronto Police Service, TTC, GO Transit and other partners to co-ordinate plans for the large crowds expected here in Toronto.

The public is reminded to plan ahead if travelling downtown tomorrow. Please consider riding public transit, cycling, walking, taxi or ride hailing. Road closures, including some new permitted closures, will be in place starting as early as 7 a.m. on Thursday.
 
Toronto police will be present throughout the downtown area for public safety purposes and additional closures or restrictions may be in effect as required. Once again, MLSE will place large viewing screens throughout the closure area and will increase the security presence.

Permitted closures, including newly added closures, which will be in effect:

• Maple Leaf Square (Bremner Boulevard between Lake Shore Boulevard West and York Street) from 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 13 until 2 a.m. on Friday, June 14.

• York Street (between Lake Shore Boulevard West and Front Street West) and Bremner Boulevard (between Lower Simcoe Street and York Street) beginning as early as 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 13 until 2 a.m. on Friday, June 14.

• Bremner Boulevard between Lower Simcoe Street and Rees Street, and Lower Simcoe Street between Lake Shore Boulevard West and Front Street West, will be closed starting at noon on Thursday, June 13 until 2 a.m. on Friday, June 14.

• York-Bay-Yonge exit ramps (eastbound and westbound) on the Gardiner Expressway will be closed as early as 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 13 and could remain closed until 4 a.m. on Friday, June 14. Please use Spadina and Jarvis exit ramps if travelling into the downtown during this period.

TTC information:
The TTC will be running additional service tomorrow night to get people to and from the downtown core. Five additional trains and 25 buses will be available both before and after the game. The last trains out of downtown depart Union Station at 2:25 a.m. with last connections available east/west on Line 2 at Bloor-Yonge and St. George stations, and to Line 4 at Sheppard-Yonge station. Surface connections at all stations will run as regularly scheduled. Anyone requiring a surface connection should consult the schedule for their route and plan accordingly. As always, the TTC’s Blue Night Network will run all night. Please follow @TTCnotices on Twitter throughout the evening for service updates.

Go Transit information:
GO Transit will have extra trains on standby along the Lakeshore line post-game. Due to road closures in the area, Union Station Bus Terminal will be closed at approximately 9 p.m. Customers heading north should use their valid GO ticket to ride the subway from Union Station to Highway 407 Station (at no extra charge) where GO buses will be waiting. The Toronto Raptors will play the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET in Oakland, California. The Raptors have won three of five games in the series and it’s expected that large crowds will be downtown Toronto to watch the game.
