TORONTO CYCLING COMMITTEE:
For the information of the Committee, at the meeting on July 27, 1998, the draft report
prepared by Dr.William J. Lucas, Regional Coroner for Toronto, headed "A Report on
Cycling Fatalities in Toronto 1986 - 1996 -- Recommendations for Reducing Cycling Injuries
and Death (July 1, 1998)," to the Co-Chairs of the Network/Bicycle Planning Sub-Committee,
Transit Integration Sub-Committee, Education Safety and Security Sub-Committee, and
Bicycle Commuter Program Sub-Committee, for consideration in the context of budget
discussions, and for comment thereon to the Toronto Cycling Committee at its meeting
scheduled to be held on October 27, 1998.
