		100 Percent Smoke-free Work Places and Food Courts - By-law to amend City of North York By-law No. 32931, as amended The North York Community Council recommends the adoption of the following report (January 27, 1998) from the Solicitor, North York Civic Centre: Purpose: The purpose of this report is to submit a draft by-law to amend City of North York By-law No. 32931, as amended, to prohibit smoking in all workplaces and food courts and to exclude tobacco research and testing facilities from the proposed amendment regarding workplace smoking, for consideration. Funding Sources Financial Implications and Impact Statement: N/A Recommendations: It is recommended that: (1) the draft by-law attached to the report (January 27, 1998) from the City Solicitor be enacted; and (2) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
