Subject: Extension of Permit Parking Hours on Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn

Purpose:
To report on the extension of permit parking hours on Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn
Avenue, from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week, to 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., 7 days a week.
Financial Implications and Impact Statement:
Not applicable.
Recommendations:
It is recommended that:
(1) the permit parking hours of operation on Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn Avenue,
be extended from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week, to 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., 7 days a week;
(2) Schedule P of Municipal Code Chapter 400, Traffic and Parking, of the former City of Toronto Municipal Code, be
amended to incorporate Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn Avenue;
(3) that parking be permitted for a maximum period of one hour 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Heddington Avenue, between
Burnaby Boulevard and Crestview Road; and
(4) the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
Background:
A request was received from Councillor Michael Walker to extend the permit parking hours on Heddington Avenue,
between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn Avenue, from the current hours of 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week, to
the proposed hours of 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., 7 days a week.
Comments:
Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn Avenue, is authorized for permit parking on a street
name basis, and the hours of operation are 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days a week.
The extension of permit parking hours on Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn Avenue, is
an administrative procedure.
Conclusions:
Given that the extension of permit parking hours on Heddington Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue West and Roselawn
Avenue, is an administrative procedure, it is recommended that the hours be amended to indicate 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.,
7 days a week.
