(a)Appointment of Members of Council to the Task Force on Community Safety.

The Striking Committee reports having requested the City Clerk to canvass Members of Council for their interest in being appointed to the Task Force on Community Safety, and submit a list of interested Members to the Striking Committee for its consideration.

(April 7, 1999) from the City Clerk advising that the Strategic Policies and Priorities Committee on April 7, 1999, referred to the Striking Committee, for its consideration, the communication (March 22, 1999) from the City Clerk respecting the appointment of members to the Task Force on Community Safety, wherein it is noted that, by its adoption as amended of Clause No. 4 contained in Report No. 5 of The Strategic Policies and Priorities Committee, headed "Final Report of the Task Force on Community Safety", City Council at its meeting held on March2, 3 and 4, 1999, amended Recommendation No. 35 embodied in such Final Report to provide that five Members of Council representing all areas of the City be appointed to the said Task Force.
