Subcommittee Decision

The Interview Subcommittee for Toronto Parking Authority recommends to the Civic Appointments Committee that:

 

1.  City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Parking Authority Board of Directors, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on December 31, 2016 and until successors are appointed:

 

Candidate #38

Candidate #64

 

2.   City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Parking Authority Board of Directors, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 30, 2018 and until successors are appointed:

 

Candidate #42

Candidate #63

Candidate #72

 

3. City Council appoint the candidate identified in the Confidential Attachment to the Decision Letter from the Interview Subcommittee for Toronto Parking Authority to serve as Chair of the Toronto Parking Authority Board of Directors, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 30, 2018 and until a successor is appointed.

  

4. City Council amend Section 179-2B of Municipal Code Chapter 179, Parking Authority, to read as follows:

 

"Citizen members of the Toronto Parking Authority shall be appointed for a term specified by Council, and serve at pleasure of Council until their successors are appointed."

 

5. City Council direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1, 2 and 3 remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Parking Authority Board of Directors.

Summary

The Interview Subcommittee for Toronto Parking Authority will interview and recommend five candidates, including one as Chair, to the Civic Appointments Committee for appointment to the Toronto Parking Authority Board of Directors.

 

(The Interview Schedule will be forwarded under separate confidential cover to Members of the Interview Subcommittee for Toronto Parking Authority and relevant officials only.  Copies of the confidential applications were previously distributed under confidential cover to the Members of the Civic Appointments Committee.)
