The Facilities and Finance Nominating Panel recommends that:
1. City Council appoint the following candidates to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on June 9, 2018, and until successors are appointed:
- Hatty Reisman - Stephen Smith
2. City Council direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1, 2 and 3 remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Board of Directors. |

Candidates' biographies:
Hatty Reisman
Harriet (Hatty) Reisman, LLB, J.D., ICD.D, is a seasoned corporate lawyer with significant board experience. She graduated from Osgoode Hall in 1982, after two years of Economics and Political Science at University College, University of Toronto. Hatty has served as Corporate Secretary to two public companies, and has held board positions on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards. She was selected for the Diversity 50, and the Women on Board programs, and is a graduate of Rotman's ICD program.
Stephen Smith
Stephen has served on the Metro Toronto Convention Centre board since 2011. Since that time, he has made significant contributions to the Board and guided several financial-related situations where his experience as CFO of Cara and Loblaw was invaluable. Stephen's hospitality and retail industry experience and a CA background provide a solid base for a Board member who can add value to the oversight of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on behalf of the community. |
