The Corporations Nominating Panel recommends that:

1. City Council appoint the following candidate to the Toronto Hydro Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on April 26, 2019, and until a successor is appointed:

Juliana Lam

2.  City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the report (March 27, 2017) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Hydro Board.

Candidate's biography:

Juliana Lam

Ms. Lam holds extensive senior level financial management experience in diverse industries including mining, manufacturing, services and distribution. Most recently, she was the Executive VP & CFO of Uranium One Inc. Previously she was Senior VP, Finance of Kinross Gold Corporation, CFO of Nexans Canada, and has held senior roles within other publicly traded companies. She holds a BA from the University of Toronto, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and CPA, CA and ICD.D designations.

There is currently one vacancy on the Toronto Hydro Corporation Board. The Corporations Nominating Panel will interview candidates at its meeting on April 5, 2017, and recommend one public member to City Council to fill this vacancy.
