The Facilities and Finance Nominating Panel recommends that:

1. City Council appoint the following two candidates to the Exhibition Place Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on July 6, 2021, and until successors are appointed:

Paula Oliveira

2. City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the report (June 15, 2017) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Exhibition Place Board.

Candidates' biographies:

Howard Lichtman

Howard Lichtman is the co-founder of Ethnicity Multicultural Marketing and Advertising, and President of the Lightning Group. Prior to this, Howard was Executive VP of Marketing and Communications at Cineplex. Howard received his law degree from Osgoode Hall, and his MBA from the Schulich School of Business.

Paula Oliveira

Paula Oliveira is the Regional Vice President for BMO in West Toronto. Known for her collaborative team-building and inspiring coaching techniques, Paula is recognized among BMO's "Best of the Best" and manages 15 branches and 200+ employees. A passionate community builder, Paula has served on the boards for After Breast Cancer and the Federation of Portuguese-Canadian Businesses and Professionals.

City Council needs to appoint two public members to serve on the Exhibition Place Board. The Facilities and Finance Nominating Panel will interview candidates at its meeting on June 22, 2017, and recommend two public members to City Council to fill these positions.
