The McCormick and Bill Bolton Arena Nominating Panel recommends that:
1. Toronto and East York Community Council appoint the following candidates to the McCormick Playground Arena Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 30, 2018, and until successors are appointed:
- Annette Moretti - Heather Cunningham
2. Toronto and East York Community Council appoint the following candidate to the McCormick Playground Arena Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on February 22, 2021, and until a successor is appointed:
- Lindsay Wiginton
3. Toronto and East York Community Council direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1, 2, and 3 to the report (October 18, 2017) remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the McCormick Playground Arena Board. |

Candidates' biographies:
Annette Moretti
Annette Moretti has been in the beauty business for more than 20 years, including all aspects such as artistry, business development and marketing. She is a loving mom to two young children and her family has lived in Parkdale for several generations. She grew up at McCormick Arena as a figure skater.
Heather Cunningham
As a lifelong resident of Toronto, Heather is very proud of our city and would like to help to keep it inclusive and to make it an even greater place to live. She is the proud mother of two adult boys and the loving grandmother of seven. She attended Teachers' College though her career has been spent in the Administrative field in various organizations, including progressively responsible positions. She is a former member of the Board of the West Toronto Skating Club.
Lindsay Wiginton
Lindsay is an urban planner with a background in civil engineering. She is currently an analyst at the Pembina Institute in Toronto, where she advocates for a more sustainable transportation system. Previously, she was a senior consultant for a company specializing in public engagement, where she designed and implemented participatory processes for urban development projects. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Santropol Roulant, a meals on wheels organization in Montreal. |
