Toronto COVID-19 vaccination update 

The City of Toronto is working with all our healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 298,992 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

Today, the City will begin vaccinating residents born in 1941 and earlier at three of the City-operated mass immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre and Scarborough Town Centre. Approximately 1,350 people are scheduled to be vaccinated at a City-run clinic today. Vaccinations will also begin at the Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Mitchell Field Community Centre clinics on March 29 and at The Hangar clinic site on April 5.

Online booking for this priority group at these six City-run clinics began on Friday, March 12. As of yesterday evening, 19,772 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. Eligible seniors age 80 and older can book appointments through the dark blue “Find out if you are eligible to book” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 with the added option of booking by phone by contacting the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488. The following healthcare partners are working to operate approximately 21 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site vaccinations, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.

Unity Health Toronto

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics, two mobile clinics in congregate settings and a clinic at the Auduzhe Mino Nesewinong Indigenous centre.
• Vaccinated 977 people who are priority hospital and community-based healthcare workers, local pharmacy staff, local dentists and their staff, individuals 80 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community and shelter staff.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics and two mobile clinics in a congregate setting and long-term care home.
• Will vaccinate approximately 770 people belonging to the same groups.

University Health Network

• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 500 people who are healthcare workers, long-term care workers and essential care givers at the on-site clinic.
• Vaccinated 170 individuals living in shelters at the mobile clinic.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate 330 people who are healthcare workers and students, and community members 80 years and older at the on-site clinics.
• Will vaccinate approximately 60 individuals living in shelters at the mobile clinic.

Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 487 people who are healthcare workers, community members 80 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings and Indigenous adults.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics, one primary care clinic, and deploy two mobile teams.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,182 people belonging to the same groups.

Humber River Hospital and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 913 people who are healthcare workers, first responders, patients and individuals 80 years and older, Indigenous adults, adult recipients of home care services, and long-term care staff and essential caregivers.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate approximately 736 people belonging to the same groups.

North York General Hospital

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated approximately 777 people who are hospital healthcare workers, community members 80 years and older and individuals living in shelters.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Will vaccinate approximately 1,198 people belonging to the same groups.

Scarborough Health Network

• Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
• Vaccinated 1,400 people who are healthcare workers, residents 80 years and older and individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Today, will hold two on-site clinics.
• Will vaccinate 1,700 people who are healthcare workers and residents 80 years and older.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

• Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
• Vaccinated 800 people who are community residents 80 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, community healthcare workers and hospital staff.
• Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
• Will vaccinate approximately 775 people belonging to the same groups.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
