The City of Toronto is working with all our healthcare partners, pharmacies and Toronto Public Health to administer all available COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 493,867 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Toronto.

The City is currently vaccinating residents born in 1951 and earlier at five of the City-operated mass immunization clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Mitchell Field Arena. On April 5, a City-operated clinic at The Hangar will open.

As of yesterday evening, approximately 71,268 people have booked COVID-19 vaccination appointments at a City-run clinic. This is an increase of 16,828 people from what was reported on Saturday morning when the age eligibility was expanded to include those age 70 years and older. Eligible seniors can book appointments through the dark blue “Book a Vaccine” button on www.toronto.ca/covid-19 with the added option of booking by phone through the Provincial Vaccine Information Line at 1-888-999-6488. The City and healthcare partners are working to operate approximately 30 clinics today, including mobile teams and on-site clinics, to vaccinate priority groups identified by the Province of Ontario’s priority framework. These clinics are only vaccinating those in the priority groups who have confirmed appointments.

City of Toronto immunization clinics

  • Yesterday, held five clinics: Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Congress Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Malvern Community Recreation Centre and Mitchell Field Arena.
  • Vaccinated approximately 6,077 eligible seniors.
  • Today, will vaccinate approximately 6,300 people born in 1951 or earlier. Only those with confirmed appointments will be vaccinated. People without appointments should not attend a City’s immunization clinic.

Unity Health Toronto

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics at St. Michael’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
  • Vaccinated 1,350 people who are priority hospital and community based healthcare workers, local pharmacy staff, local dentists and their staff, individuals 70 years and older, individuals living in congregate settings, members of the Indigenous community and shelter staff.
  • Today, will hold two on-site clinics, three mobile clinics, and support a community clinic with West Park Healthcare Centre.
  • Will vaccinate 1,600 people belonging to the same groups.

University Health Network

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated 500 people who are healthcare workers and students, patients and individuals 70 years and older.
  • Today, will hold four on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 2,500 people who are healthcare workers and students, individuals 70 years and older, patients, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, and individuals living in shelters.

Michael Garron Hospital – East Toronto Health Partners

  • Yesterday, deployed two mobile teams.
  • Vaccinated 588 individuals living in congregate settings, and individuals living in shelters or experiencing homelessness.
  • Today, will hold two on-site clinics (Thorncliffe Park Community Hub and MGH) and one primary care clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 1,534 individuals 70 years and older, healthcare workers and Indigenous adults.

Humber River Hospital and North Western Toronto Ontario Health Team

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 581 people who are healthcare workers, first responders, individuals 70 years and older, Indigenous adults, long-term care staff and essential caregivers, adult recipients of home care services, and individuals living in congregate settings and shelters.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate 393 people belonging to the same groups.

North York General Hospital – North York Toronto Health Partners

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,596 who are hospital healthcare workers, patients and community members 70 years and older at the on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated approximately 187 individuals who are 65 years and older living in congregate care settings and people living in shelters at the mobile clinic.
  • Today, will hold two on-site clinics and a mobile clinic.
  •  Will vaccinate approximately 2,065 people who are hospital healthcare workers, individuals living in shelters and community members 70 years and older.

Scarborough Health Network

  • Yesterday, held two on-site clinics.
  • Vaccinated 2,200 people who are healthcare workers and residents 70 years and older.
  • Today, will hold two on-site clinics and one pop-up clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 2,000 people including healthcare workers, residents 70 years and older and individuals living in congregate settings.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

  • Yesterday, held one on-site clinic.
  • Vaccinated 1,200 people who are residents 70 years and older, Indigenous adults, adults who receive home care, healthcare workers and hospital staff.
  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic and a mobile clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 1,200 people belonging to the same groups.

CAMH

  • Today, will hold one on-site clinic.
  • Will vaccinate approximately 252 people who are hospital healthcare workers, community members 70 years and older, Indigenous adults and faith workers.

Participating pharmacies in Toronto

  • Toronto Public Health can confirm that as of yesterday morning, 106,952 people aged 60 and older received the Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine at participating pharmacies in Toronto since the provincial pilot began.
  • An update on the number of vaccinations in Toronto pharmacies will be provided on Tuesdays and Fridays as information is made available twice a week.

The City, Toronto Public Health, hospitals and community healthcare centres are all working together to get Torontonians vaccinated as quickly as possible. Getting vaccinated protects individuals, their close contacts and the community. As vaccine supply for the general population becomes widely available from the Government of Canada and the Province, more than 350 clinics, including pharmacies and mobile clinics across Toronto, will vaccinate people following the priority framework established by the Province.
