Virtual Public Meetings

The City and TTC hosted six virtual public meetings between October 18 to November 8, 2021, to introduce the project, provide clarification on the consultation materials and hear questions and comments from over 150 participants.

Online Survey

Everyone was invited to have their say on the evaluation criteria the City will use to identify which routes corridors need transit priority solutions over the next 10 years. The survey was open from October 4 until November 28, 2021.

The City of Toronto will apply the evaluation criteria developed during Phase 1 to identify the roadways where the implementation of priority measures for buses and streetcars will have the greatest positive impact on the community.

In early 2022, the City will ask for public feedback on the roadways that will be included in the RapidTO: Bus and Streetcar Priority plan and shared with City Council for approval at the end of this phase.

Phase 3 will include roadway-specific studies and rolling implementations that take into account the unique needs of each community.

The following roadways will be evaluated and prioritized for transit priority solutions, such as signal and intersection improvements, bus lanes and/or customer comfort improvements at transit stops.

Transit priority solutions specific to each community will be identified for the roadways that score highest in the evaluation in Phase 3, through extensive study, design work and consultation with the public. The transit priority solutions for specific roadways are not being selected in the current phase (Phase 1).
