Member Appointments and Elected Chairs for the New Term

City Council has made appointments of Members of City Council to its committees and various agencies, boards and commissions.

On December 8, 2010, City Council considered the recommendations of the Striking Committee.

Most of the appointments are effective immediately. With some exceptions, the appointments are made for the first half of the term, after which City Council will again consider appointments for the balance of the term.

These appointments follow the Mayor’s appointments of the Deputy Mayor and the policy standing committee chairs under powers delegated to him by City Council.

The Community Councils also met on December 8, 2010 to elect the Chairs and Vice-Chairs for each Community Council.

The following members were elected:

Etobicoke York Community Council.

• Councillor Mark Grimes, Chair
• Councillor Frances Nunziata, Vice-Chair

Toronto and East York Community Council.

• Councillor Gord Perks, Chair
• Councillor, Paula Fletcher, Vice-Chair

Scarborough Community Council.

• Councillor Paul Ainslie, Chair
• Councillor, Gary Crawford, Vice-Chair

North York Community Council.

• Councillor Maria Augimeri, Chair
• Councillor, John Parker, Vice-Chair
