Retailers required to provide washroom facilities for customers
On August 1, 2009 amendments to the Property Standards section of the Toronto Municipal Code came into effect. Retail establishments are now required to ensure that washroom facilities for their customers are made accessible and that proper signage is provided in accordance with the provisions in the bylaw.

Multi-residential Apartment Buildings Regulatory Strategy
On December 1, 2008, the City of Toronto launched its MRAB audit and enforcement program which, as part of its initial one-year phase, will provide inspection and enforcement action on the City's greatest at-need rental buildings.
