Postering

At its meeting of August 27, 2010, City Council enacted By-law No. 1074-2010, which adopted Chapter 693, Article IV, Posters on Public Property, to the City of Toronto Municipal Code. Any individual or company deemed responsible for erecting, attaching, placing or displaying a poster in any place other than a place explicitly permitted by the bylaw (Sec. 693-30) is guilty of an offense.

Chapter 693, Article IV, also contains a specific listing of locations where a poster must not be erected, attached, placed or displayed.

Chapter 693, Article IV, also contains the approved locations where a poster can be erected, attached, placed or displayed. These locations are approved by the General Manager of Transportation Services.

The Inventory of Approved Poster Structures will provide you with the currently approved locations for postering.
