Temporary Sign Permit Applications

The City of Toronto has a bylaw (Chapter 693, Toronto Municipal Code) to regulate the size, location, permit requirements and fees for temporary signs on private and public property. The new bylaw also requires that temporary sign providers must have a business licence under Chapter 545, Toronto Municipal Code.

This page provides application information and procedures for temporary signs that require permits. A temporary sign is one that is not permanently attached or fixed to a structure or surface. Many temporary signs require permits while others do not. Please check below for the requirements of your sign and follow the appropriate processes. A-Frame Sign Applications can now be completed on-line.
