APT 5.1 Confirmation of Minutes

APT 5.2 Chair’s Update

Panel Decision

The Administrative Penalty Tribunal received the update from the Administrative Penalty Tribunal Chair, Paul Sommerville, as information.

Item 1) A change in the remuneration schedule was discussed and favourably received by the members. The Chair expects a definitive date for the change in remuneration from the City of Toronto in the near future. He will disseminate the information to the members when it becomes available.

The Administrative Penalty Tribunal Chair, Paul Sommerville, provided opening remarks and an update on the new remuneration schedule.

APT 5.3 Amendments to Notice of Time and Place

Panel Decision

The Administrative Penalty Tribunal discussed proposed changes to the Notice of Time and Place of Hearing.

At 9:20 a.m., the Administrative Penalty Tribunal recessed the public session and convened in closed session to discuss proposed changed to the Notice of Time and Place of Hearing.  The panel went into closed session, as the City of Toronto Act, 2006 permits closing a meeting for the purpose of educating or training the members.

At 10:20 a.m., the Administrative Penalty Tribunal recessed the public session and convened in closed session to discuss proposed changed to the Notice of Time and Place of Hearing.  The panel went into closed session, as the City of Toronto Act, 2006 permits closing a meeting for the purpose of educating or training the members.

Tribunal Members will work with City of Toronto Court Services staff to develop a preparation guide for member of the public attending an Administrative Penalty Tribunal Hearing Review.
