Seniors Action Report
Low-income seniors in the downtown are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain affordable housing and support services, such as in-home care. To identify and advocate for solutions, an Action for Seniors Charrette was held at the Performing Arts Lodge Toronto. The resulting report can be found here.

Birchmount Woods Official Opening
Government officials, representatives from Medallion Corporation and residents have joined together to officially open Birchmount Woods, an affordable housing building in Toronto's east end.

Seniors Strategy
Over the next decade, the number of seniors living in Toronto will increase dramatically. It is important that we prepare for this demographic shift so that the City remains a safe, navigable, affordable, accessible and enjoyable city for everyone. City Development Fee Exemptions
Non-profit housing developers can qualify for exemptions from the City of Toronto's planning application and development fees. In this way, the City helps make new affordable rental housing even more affordable. Application forms are available here.
