Development Charges Background Reports |

The City's 1999 development charge by-law expired on
July 27, 2004. In preparation for a new by-law, Toronto City Council directed staff to complete a Development Charges Background Study, which was finalized on April 21, 2004.
The study is now complete and available below.
City staff received input from the development industry and the general public on both the technical matters and policy considerations to assist in the development of the new by-law.
The new by-law, no. 547-2004, was passed by Council on June 24, 2004 and will come into effect on July 28, 2004.
