Pesticides Background

As a leader in protecting the health and wellbeing of the community, Toronto Public Health passed a Pesticide By-law in May 2003. The province of Ontario has passed a provincial ban on the use of cosmetic pesticides, which will begin on April 22, 2009. This ban takes the place of the Toronto Pesticide By-law.

The by-law was passed in May 2003. This page contains reports and decisions that led to the passage of the by-law as well as those which address more recent developments.
