  COMMUNITY AND NEIGHBOURHOOD SERVICES COMMITTEE:

 The Advisory Committee on Homes for the Aged on April 3, 1998, had before it a report (March 10, 1998) from the General Manager, Homes for the Aged, advising that the accreditation survey for Carefree Lodge by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation was carried out from November 26-28, 1997, and that the Home received a three-year award; noting that the staff at Carefree Lodge will be analyzing the recommendations and will develop a plan of action to continue quality improvement; and recommending that:

 (1)this report be forwarded to the Community and Neighbourhood Services Committee for information; and

 (2)management and staff of Carefree Lodge be congratulated on their achievement of this significant accreditation award.

 The Advisory Committee adopted the aforementioned report; and extended its congratulations to all staff, volunteers and the Home Advisory Committee at Carefree Lodge.
