CORPORATE SERVICES COMMITTEE:

 

The Special Committee to Review the Final Report of the Toronto Transition Team on January 28, 1998, had before it a communication (January 9, 1998) from Mr. I. Bruce MacOdrum, Commission Secretary, The New Toronto Hydro-Electric Commission, advising that the inaugural meeting of the new Toronto Hydro-Electric Commission was held on Tuesday, January 6, 1998; that Sub-Section 44(1) of the Public Utilities Act provides that the salary of the Commissioners shall be fixed by the Council of the City of Toronto; and that the Commission requested that the matter of the salaries of the Commissioners be addressed by Council at an early date.

 

The Special Committee to Review the Final Report of the Toronto Transition Team on January 28, 1998, referred the aforementioned communication to the Corporate Services Committee for consideration.
